Welcome to my course project portal page

The following projects have been created as a way to explore front-end Web design and development.

Main course projects

  • My First Page

This project introduced me to Dreamweaver where I learned the important concepts of creating a website from scratch using the software. I gained an understanding of correct file paths and how to connect them to Dreamweaver properly. I also learned about the overall site structure using HTML and the site design using CSS. With a helpful tutorial, I was able to put my new knowledge to work and see how HTML and CSS collaborate to produce a functional webpage. I applied HTML for content and then used CSS practices to improve the website's design and appearance which produced the outcome of My First Page.

  • Squint Studio Build-Along

The Squint Studio Build Along is a site that we’ve been building from scratch using a very helpful step-by-step tutorial. Through the process, we learned the basics of web development with HTML and CSS and how they connect to create visually appealing websites. We also learned some handy tools and tips like certain keyboard shortcuts, mastering margins and padding for page layout, adding images, and working with positioning and borders. We did all of this by learning the in’s and outs of the popular web development tool known as Dreamweaver. This Squint Studio Website has been a great tutorial journey that has helped level up my understanding of coding along with my web development skills.

  • My Final Page

My final site was a testiment to all of the hard work I have accomplished throughout this semester. It is showing off all of the different tools and tips and knowledge I've learned about designing a website from scratch through HTML and CSS. I've learned a lot about website structure and CSS, and it's been a game-changer. Building a website from scratch was a challenge, but it's helped me understand HTML's nuts and bolts for creating web pages. Learning more about CSS taught me how to make these pages look great with styles and layouts. It's been a hands-on experience that's boosted my confidence and skills in creating visually appealing and functional websites. Overall, this journey has been a big step toward making my creative ideas a digital reality.
