Introduction to Web Design, course project landing page

Welcome to my course project landing page

The following projects have been created as a way to explore front-end Web design and development.

Main course projects

  • My First Page

At the start of the semester, we kicked off with "My First Page," a straightforward single-page exercise crafted to acquaint us with the fundamentals of HTML, internal CSS, and file organization, all while helping us become familiar with the Dreamweaver interface. During this module, we grasped the semantics and structure of HTML coding and how it interacts with web browsers. Additionally, we explored the incorporation of images and the process of uploading a website to an FTP server. This marked my inaugural experience with a full coding project, and I found the journey quite enjoyable.

  • Squint Studio Build-Along

The Squint Studio Build-Along project was a progressive, multi-page endeavor centered around an imaginary photography studio. Throughout this project, we embarked on a journey to establish and comprehend the connections between HTML and CSS. Our knowledge expanded as we delved into new HTML elements, attributes, and selectors, and we skillfully applied styles using Dreamweaver's CSS Designer. By employing an external CSS stylesheet, we constructed a more intricate website with enhanced styles, including padding, alignment, shadows, and link states. Furthermore, we delved deeper into the use of classes and IDs to logically organize various sections of the website. This project deepened our understanding of HTML and CSS and imparted valuable insights into image optimization, SEO optimization, design techniques, accessibility standards, link protocols, and industry best practices.

  • Squint Final Project
