Summary: Hello, my name is Lucian Blake and this is my compendium of my findings related to the Meteors that impacted on October 18th 2023[1] and the abilities that arose in relation. Please understand I am not a scientist and do not have any background in physics, biology, astronomy, or geology. This document is simply my own collection of records and notes that I have gathered over my life.
Starting off where it all started, the meteors immediately hosted a plethora of anomalous behaviors. So let's get started.
The meteors showed incredibly high thermal resistance, losing less than a percent in mass upon entering the atmosphere. This allowed even really small meteorites to push through our atmosphere such as the cases of the Celestial Pearls, small golf ball sized meteors that don't lose their glow[2]. The thermal resiliency of the meteors were later vital for the construction of bunkers and later greater technologies.
Between 5 and 17 days after impact the larger meteorites (Those over 10,000 lb) begin leaking a colloidal liquid known as Nebulaeum. Nebulaeum has a variety of characteristics that I cannot explain, nor will I attempt to do so at this time, and is only the observations of me and other eyewitnesses. Nebulaeum is an ionic liquid with a dark black coloration with swirls of colors throughout it, especially when stirred it resembles a nebula which is where it gets its name. Nebulaeum is a thixotropic material but amped up to a much higher degree than I have ever seen being able to go from completely solid to as runny as melted cheese. Nebulaeum has an inconsistent density with small droplets dripping upwards into the air. I believe Nebulaeum has a direct correlation with the Emblazement of people and origin of powers. Unfortunately due to certain events obtaining the substance is nearly impossible now.

The Emblazed surprisingly have very little, if any, physiological or biological changes on average. The most consistent change being the reshaping of the iris.
During and shortly after the impact accounts of people's eyes changing was being spread around. I didn't notice my own eyes change until about a week but it seemed to be different for everyone, possibly due to exposure to the meteors, but we aren't exactly sure. People born Emblazed are nearly guaranteed to have these exact eye changes at birth, although I have met some exceptions[4]. The eyes change in the following ways: the pupils will change to a white coloration, matching the sclera and nearly resembling Leukocoria, the iris shrinks until about half size where it resembles a ring. During this your eye color will most of the time stay the same, sometimes shifting into a single more solid color. Despite the extreme changes in appearance and physical structure, eyesight has been determined to be unaffected[5].
Although rare, emblazement can cause physical changes to the body, this section will go over various physical changes of interest I have seen over the years. Note that this list is by no means exhaustive and does not contain all possible physical changes or limits.
I found that many powers can change the person's body physically without really changing the core physiology. For example I met a man who could turn invisible, but only himself, having to strip naked to be effectively unseen[6]. Another example is a woman whom I was good friends with, her name was Bellany langley and could turn her body into a select few materials; being stone, wood, metal, and a strong gray plastic like polymer. Now interestingly enough the materials she could turn into were not any known material. I go into these nova materia in a study I've been working on called the New-Material Theory. I have seen other examples of people turning into a variety of materials aside from Langley and other examples of body manipulation I have seen include changing in size, morphing overall shape, and shapeshifting.
This category includes abilities that change your body in a permanent way. Examples include: animal or non-human-like parts, such as wings, claws, gills, or tails; enhanced body parts, such as large muscles, long arms or legs, and more durable skin or bones. Other forms of this might include more abnormal changes, such as glowing or transparent skin.
These changes, although less visible, still change the biology of the person. I had a pleasant conversation with a child who could eat and digest anything and had to consume loads more calories than a full grown adult every day just to stay full. Another person I met was an old lady who could sweat a liquid that paralyzed anyone who touched it for quite some time, truly unfortunate. Back in 2031 I had lunch with a self proclaimed "Emperor of Fire", a wild man with a temper to match his power. He could heat things from the inside out, causing them to burst into flames and/or melt. It was quite the spectacle and as deadly as it sounds. He claimed he was building an empire of fire, recruiting other people with fire based powers. He was the person who created the naming system we all use on this side of the states. He called it the Blaze, a burning power inside the chosen. I worked with him for a while, his "empire" was quite successful and lead to the classification system that is now used to categorize Emblazed all around the country. The tiers are listed as followed, using fire as examples:
Tier 0 is cold: A person without any ability whatsoever, your average Joe.
Tier 1 is spark: An Emblazed who's abilities are benign to incredibly mild, such as flaming hair or being able to light small objects like candles or matches on fire.
Tier 2 is ember: An Emblazed who's abilities can change their livelihood due to their helpfulness or harmfulness. Someone in this tier often uses their abilities in part of their daily life or work. Often street level powers such as being immune to being burned or being able to heat things you touch at will.
Tier 3 is flame: An Emblazed who's power gives them considerable strength and power, people in this tier must be monitored in rings two and lower. powers such as combustible flight or dragons breath.
Tier 4 is inferno: An Emblazed who's powers are far beyond the average person, powers of this tier are incredibly dangerous and would pose tremendous threat if against someone. Powers
