Welcome to my course project portal page!
The following projects have been created as a way to explore front-end web design and development.
Main Course Projects:
-
My First Page
The My First Page project was the first project for the Intro to Web Design class. This project gave an intial look into how to code HTML and the rules that accompany this process. This project also taught how to code CSS internally into the index.html document. By completeing this project the knowledge of how to use the tools Dreamweaver provides was gained, as well as, the baseline knowledge of how html is written and stored.
-
Squint Studio Build-Along
The Squint Studio Build-Along was the second project completed by the Intro to Web Design class. This project was an in-depth process of coding a basic website. The important parts of this project were learning how to add links to a page, linking multiple pages to a site, and creating an external CSS style sheet. The process of creating the external style sheet was the main focus and a quick look at the site shows this. It's a very well organized and asthetically pleasing site, all due to the CSS attributes. Through this process the knowledge of how to make a site more accessible and have it follow ADA regulations was also gained.

Final Site
The Final Site is a showcase of the skills I have learned in the Intro to Web Design class. This was the final project for the class and required me to create a functioning website from scratch. This process allowed me to be creative and produce a site that, if I came across on the web, I would be super excited about. The actual site building process started with making an inspiration and goals "mood board", then creating the wireframe (a simple outline of the proposed site layout), then finally coding the site. This process made the creation of the site go smoothly and showed how important a well thought out plan is. Overall this site represents the skills and knowledge I have gained in this class.
