It only takes a few ingredients and a few simple steps listed below to get you on your way!

Ingredients

Prepare the following:

  • 1 cup crunchy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 cup crispy rice cereal
  • 1 cup confectioners sugar
  • Chocolate coating

  • 24 oz semisweet chocolate morsels
  • 3 tb shortening or parfarrin

Supplies

Here is what you will need:

  • Mixer
  • Small Scooper
  • Parchment Paper
  • Cookie Sheet
  • Chocolate Candy Melter or Double Broiler
  • Chocolate Dipping Tool
  • Sprinkles

Recipe

  • Crispy rice, sugar, peanut butter and butter in a mixing bowl

    Step 1

In a mixing bowl, blend peanut butter and butter together until creamy. Add confectioners sugar and rice chrispies into the mixer until well combined.

  • Step 2

With a small scooper, scoop out peanut butter mixture onto a parchment lined cookie sheet. Hand roll each scoop into an even sphere. Place in the freezer.

  • Chocolate candy melter, chocolate chips and paraffin on a counter top.

    Step 3

While peanut butter mixture is freezing, prepare to make chocolate coating. Note: freezing the mixture makes dipping it in chocolate easier, but it is not necessary. In a chocolate candy melter or double broiler, melt semi sweet chocolate morsels and shortening.

  • Step 4

After your coating has completely melted, take your frozen peanut butter balls and completely submerge in chocolate mixture using a fork or chocolate dipping tool. Place back on parchment paper. Top your chocolates with sprinkles or toppings of your choice if desired.
