Welcome to my course project portal page!
The following projects have been created as a way to explore front-end Web design and development.
Main course projects:
-
My First Page
"My First Page" was an introductory assignment designed to familiarize ourselves with working in Adobe’s Dreamweaver. We created a basic one-page website that introduced ourselves to the professor while learning basic HTML and CSS coding. This was our first experience with the wonderful world of web design!
-
Squint Studio Build-Along
“Squint Studio Build-Along” was our first exposure in creating a multi-page website with external CSS. It was recommended that we take detailed notes every step of the way to document our experience in creating a realistic website. Additionally, we were encouraged to take advantage of Dreamweaver’s built-in applications to make the coding process easier. With the knowledge and notes taken from the build-along, we should be able to create our own website at the end of the semester.
Final Site: Blue's Art Shop
Our final assignment in this class was a choose-your-own-topic website that we got to create to show off our newly learned web design skills and terminology. Using our “Squint Studio Build Along” notes, we were able to create a functional website with graphics, text, background images, and even a favicon. For my final website, I created a mock portfolio and art commissions page that showed off my artwork and newly obtained website coding skills!
