Hello, I'm Eli Price Passionate Interaction Designer

Introduction to Web Design, course project portal page

Welcome to my course project portal page!

The following projects have been created as a way to explore front-end Web design and development.

Main Course
Projects

  • My First Page

The "My First Page" project functioned primarily as an introduction to our code editor, "Dreamweaver," as well as rudimentary file management. We learned the basics on file paths, and how to organize and name files to communicate with a browser. This intimidating task introduced us to the syntax of HTML and minimal inline CSS. Despite barely understanding what it was we were inputting into our HTML document, we could appreciate the scope of possibilities with HTML elements like images, lists, headers, and paragraphs.

  • Squint Studio Build-Along

The Squint Studio build along, solidified our understanding of HTML elements, attributes, and CSS in this multiple-page photography studio website. Beginning with standard file management, link accessibility, and image optimization, we were exposed to industry standards and website compliance.

  • Final Project

My final project conceptualized a prototype homepage for a rafting company. During the final project, we learned how to use HTML5 elements for page structure, metadata, image optimization, and sourcing visual assets. The lesson concluded our introduction to the front-end and website guidelines.
