The following projects have been created as a way to explore and learn about
front-end web design and development.

Main Course Projects

My First Page

In this project I wrote HTML for the first time and began to learn how the site development process starts. Using internal CSS, I saw how to style text and placed an image on the site as well. Not only that, but I learned how to upload a website to a server using an FTP client!

Squint Studio Build Along

Throughout this project, I learned how to create multiple webpages that all linked to each other. Using an external CSS stylesheet, I began to understand how to style various elements of each page. Throughout the development of this page, I have started to feel things "click" in my brain!

Apple's Human Interface Guidelines

In my opinion, Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines is a goldmine of information regarding UI and UX design. In this extremely in-depth write-up from Apple, all of the HI guidelines for each of their products serves to aid developers in creating successful applications that will integrate seamlessly with their interfaces.

Stack Overflow's Questions Page

In my beginner coding experience, I have found myself continuously referencing the questions page on the Stack Overflow website. If I have any questions about errors I've encountered or am having difficulty understanding something, chances are there are multiple answers to my questions on this website. It's a very helpful community!

CodeAcademy

Code Academy is an amazing resource where a lot of learning can take place for free! Under their resources tab, there are challenges you can do, docs and cheatsheets to reference, projects to try out, articles and blogposts to read, and more. On top of that, CodeAcademy has a great questions and answers page to reference as well.

DesignCourse YouTube Channel

DesignCourse on YouTube is truly a sort of "jack of all trades" guy when it comes to learning many aspects of design. With that being said, his channel contains a lot of very in-depth videos about Web Development. Not only does he offer extensive videos about learning HTML and CSS, but there are videos that explain design and feature many overlapping themes that are very helpful to know.
