About Me
Hello! My name is Courina Camp, I'm a Digital Media student at Sierra College as well as an art enthusiast. I have picked up a variety of skills and hobbies over the years that I would like to share with everyone. Below you can find a showcase of three different art mediums I have learned and enjoy using, as well as a bit of info and my experience with each medium.
Art Showcase
Acrylic Painting
Acrylic paints are the art medium I've probably spent the most time working with, so it's one of my stronger skills. I love to work on blending the colors to get just the right gradient, which can often be difficult since they dry very quick. Acrylic is one of my favorite mediums because I can create almost anything I want, or at least try to!
Crochet
I decided to pick up crocheting to fill up some time during the pandemic and ended up loving it. I'm still learning a lot, but these cute little stuffed animals are my favorite so far. I'd like to expand my skills by creating more clothing, and eventually a blanket. I tried to do a blanket when I first started learning but it quickly went sideways, that was before I understood the importance of counting stitches! Hopefully my next go will turn out better.
Wire Wrapping
I first began learning to wire wrap when I fell in love with some gorgeous jewelry but wasn't able to afford it. It inspired me to try to learn to do it myself, and I fell down the wire rabbit hole. Wire is such a versatile art medium, it's been extremely fun to experiment with and learn. Creating beatiful wearble art has been extremely rewardign and I can't wait to see where I can go with this skill.
