Hi, my name is Angi!

picture of me

I plan to build my own website for my laser business. I make personalized wood and acrylic items including but not limited to signs, key chains, home decor, christmas ornaments and jewelry. I also hope to offer my webdesign knowledge to those of my friends in the same field as I found most of them are not ADA compliant.

I feel passionately about ADA compliance. I have a disabled son who has a rare disorder which caused him to get rhetinitis pigmentosa. This is a peripheral and nightime(dark) blindness. He does use assistive devices but he gets frustrated easily. I did not know about the ADA law with regards to websites and due to my assignments in this class I have already found a host of sites of people I know that do not have simple things like "alt text".

I am SO excited to learn about Web Design!

The top three things I would like to learn in this class are:

  1. How to optimise my SEO
  2. How to set up my website to it is ADA compliant
  3. How to make my website design to maximize my sites usability and function.

I'm ready to get started!
