A place for digital and traditional media to meet

Meet the Artist
Hello!
My name is Hailee Bosch. I am a passionate artist who enjoys dabbling in many forms of both traditional and digital media. Experimenting with different art mediums is one of my favorite things to do, and that freedom is what draws me to create. Since I could hold a pencil I new art was something I wanted to be part of my future, so now I am working to make that dream a reality. Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy my work!

Traditional
Oil painting was something I both feared and loved. Coming from a background of mostly graphite and acryllic, the first day of my oil painting class was a little intimidating. I am forever glad I took that leap though, for oil painting turned out to be something I loved, and was not as scary as I thought it would be. This was the final piece I created for that class, and I am proud of the progress I made throughout.
"Mother", oil on canvas, 2019. 18 x 24 inches.
Acryllic painting is my favorite medium to work in, and this is one of my favorite paintings. The goal was to try and make a painting that utilized the trompe l'oeil effect, which is to create a 3D illusion using a 2D medium in order to decieve the eye. This was quite challenging, but I had a lot of fun creating this piece.
"Escape", acryllic on canvas, 2020. 11 x 14 inches.
Sculpting is something I am relatively new to, but I never thought sculpting with cardboard would be so much fun. In making this cardboard Ukulele, the only supplies I used were hot glue, and, well, cardboard! I wanted to add actual guitar strings so that the ukulele might be playable, but in the end decided that would defeat the purpose of trying to make a sculpture entirely out of one medium.
"Ukulele" Cardboard, 2019.
Digital
This piece is apart of a larger comic called Glitch, but I wanted to highlight this page in particular. I've struggled with anxiety for a while, and through this comic I was able to help bring some light to something I coulnd't understand
"Glitch", Illustrator 2020
While drawing in grayscale I thought a jelly fish would be a fun subject to tackle. Branching out from drawing people is a fun challenge, but I will always enjoy drawing people best.
"Jellyfish", Photoshop 2020.
The piece "Tea Time" was one of my first attempts at Illustrator, and I am still happy with how it turned out. I enjoy the uniqueness that Illustrator as a program has to offer, becuase it is a very different way of creating than I am used to with traditional art.
