A brief biscuit primer -
A biscuit is a quick bread; one of the quickest we know, in fact! They are leavened with baking powder or baking soda or both, take just a few ingredients, and can be made from start to finish in just about half and hour. You can add pretty much whatever flavors might tickle your fancy as long as you follow a few simple rules along the way. You can either put stuff right in the dough to flavor them up, or simply split them down the middle and fill with whatever your little heart desires to make a scrumptious biscuit sandwich.
