Bio

My name is Teagan Hackbarth. I am 20 years old currently residing in Lincoln California. I go to Sacramento State University where I major in criminal justice.

Although, the career I have in mind isn't particularly an artistic field I really enjoy working on my own art on my own free time. I have been drawing ever since I can remember. It's always been a fun hobby for me. Drawing and painting has been a big part of my family

My grandma would always have us paint when we were kids. She would bring out painting materials and let us draw and paint whatever we wanted.

My uncle owns a painting business in scotland which was a big influence on my artistic ways. I have recently painted a mural on a wall for commision which was very exciting because it was my first ever commissioned art piece.

Inspirations

I feel that I am inspired by many artists and my family. One artist that really inspires me is the incredible Bob Ross.

I used to watch is art tv show that aired every weekend. I would beg my mom to buy me canvases and painting materials for the soul purpose to follow along with bob ross.

I have created multiple bob ross paintings. As I grew a little older I used my own techniques to create an art piece that was inspired by my favorite artists.

Another inspiration for my art is my grandma. She always encouraged me to keep drawing and paining whenever I had time to make time when i was busy.

She was the person to introduce me to art and she would always supply me with paint, brushes, and canvases.

Another big inspiration behind my art is being able to capture certain moments in life. I love being able to look back at the pictures and remember the good times.

For the Future

I hope to continue drawing and painting as i get older. I hope to be able to make time even as I begin a career in law enforcement, I never want to stop drawing as it is a way to calm myself.

I hope I am able to show my children the importance of art and how it is a great way to express yourself and your creativity.

This painting is inspired by the one and only Bob Ross. It is an oil based painting. It comes out at 5in x 7in. This piece took about an hour to accomplish.

This painting is a collage of different flowers. I created this painting because I am not able to own flowers due to the fact that i end up killing my plants so instead I painted a mural on my wall. This painting took me a few days to finish.

I created this drawing because I love butterflies. I think butterflies are beautiful so I took pictures of butterflies in my backyard and painted them. This took me about an hour to finish.

This drawing is a charcoal based drawing. It was inspired by artists in the 1500s who made chiaroscuro paintings. Chiaroscuro paintings are paintings that use strong contrast in light and dark areas affecting the whole composition of the art piece. I decided to start my own chiaroscuro painting of my significant other.
