Project Overview

For Binge & Watch, it is targetted to an audience that simply that wants to sit and relax. With Binge & Watch you can easily lay down as when a video ends, it auto scrolls to another video of your interest.

This app is simply easy to use, although the way to start up the app for the first time may seem time consuming for some clients, it was definitely worth their time as Binge & Watch has constantly improved.

As this app continues to improve everyday so does it understand its main audience, oragizing more topics and videos to watch and select from. As more variities are added everyday, a client can be finally find their interest or maybe even discover a new one.

Project Research

As to researching for this app, the first apps I went to was TikTok and Instagram. Although the two apps are different from their elements, their goals were similar to have their cilents connect to topics of their interest.

When the research was completeld, I took note on what categories both apps missed on that is quite popular to modern day. More variety was my key objective to making this app.

App Design

As for the design of Binge & Watch, I wanted something very simple but would stand out. Sure it may appear plain but that's the main point is not to judge a book by its cover. This app is for everyone to access so as much as possible going for a simple style that could stand out was the perfect choice. Let alone, the soft yellow brown and orange brown color palette to make it easier for the clients to read the selections.

For the main layout is much more simple, instead of Instagram and TikTok its more based on watching videos that people made as you can always easily change the interests for what vides the client wants to view instead.

Tasks For Users

The tasks for users is to start off with is for them to select what kind of topics they are interested in. Have it be maybe related to videos about vlogs, travel, DIY, etc. An email is not required when you first sign up unless the client wants to keep their progress saved.

The second task is for the client to watch to the videos that the app provides them. Call it perhaps a trial before actually using the app when the real thing happens. If the client doesn't like the videos that were recommended in their category they can find more options that were related to their interest and watch those trial ones to see if its to their client's liking.

The amount of variety can be sub catgeories here in this app compared to Instagram and TikTok where everything is label into one big title while in Binge & Watch client's can discover more compared to those two social medias in particular.

Find some categories or topics that interest the client.
Watch through some videos to see if its to the client's group.
If client is satisfied they are brought to the main page.
If the client is disatisfied on the videos provided in the trial, they will be brought back with more varieties to put from their main category.

Usability Testing & Further Development

As Binge & Watch continues to improve daily, there are a few things the app plans to take more development in progress, there will be modes that the app can more accessible to people. For example, blind people will automatically have a text to speech guiding them through.

Binge & Watch's objective is to make this app accessible to any kind of client as much as possible as the best the app can be to its abilities.

Summary

Binge & Watch was a wonderful app to look through, although it was quite the challenge at first from how much time it is the app really cares about discovering which interest was accurate and also inaccurate so in the future it doesn't provide their client the incorrect cagetory in the future.

This app still has a long was to go, but during its early stages the clients are enjoying the app so far and are excited to see what new updates to come up in the future with Binge & Watch.

During this walkdown, the app itself has quite the solid foundation but does need to execute their main objective a bit more visually and formation wise.
