About Me
My name is Marina Ramirez, I am currently a student at Sierra College and I am majoring in Graphic Design. Along my way I have taken a couple classes that have given me the ability to gain more skills in different areas.
I took multiple photography classes when I started college and they really taught me alot of things. With the photography classes I gained a new perspective in how I view things through a lens.
I learned that a photo is not just a photo but a memory that is taken at a specific moment in time to freeze that special moment.
With photography I was introduced into Photoshop. Photoshop became my bestfriend! I love using it and I enjoy making composites as well as being able to make any type of design for flyers, projects, or events.
Some of my more recent discoveries in the design field were Indesign, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver. Although, I am still in the process of getting to know these programs, I would like to share some of the works I have completed with each of these programs.
Skills
Photoshop
My Skills in Photoshop have grown since I first started using it in 2012.
I learned how to create collages, blend images together as well as how to correct images.
Being able to correct images and change/manipulate the colors was something new to me so Photoshop was indeed one of my favorite programs to work in.
Illustrator
My skills in Illustrator are vague still because I recently started using it. But in Illustrator, I learned how to work with multiple boards at a time.
I also learned how to mask an image and make an outline out of it.
Another skill I learned was to make images, objects, and figures out of shapes and how to manipulate them with the tools to combine them together to make it one object itself.
Photography
My Photography Skills when I started was very small but with time I started to understand how to work my camera. I own a NIKON 3200 which works really well for me.
I enjoyed taking many landscape photos as well as making more composites out of my images.
For me I really enjoyed having a lot of color in my photos. I loved the pop it gave to my images when the colors were bright.
