It's Just As Much Mental Activity!

Physical activity has as much a profound effect on our mental well being as our physical.

A combination of factors such as exposure to sunlight for proper Vitamin D and  breathing in fresher air can leave the mind alert, positive and give a boost to our energy levels.

Even diagnosed conditions can benefit from regular exercise, such as those with ADHD, anxiety or depression!

A good sleep schedule can assist with bodily healing, energy replenishment, and allows you to awaken refreshed to start your day. The function of the brain begins to suffer without needed sleep.

Tip 1: Stick to a Consistent Sleep Schedule

Alarm clock

A consistent sleep schedule allows our body's natural circadian rhythm to fall into place, making us more prone to doze off blissfully when the hour arrives.

Tip 2: Be Mindful of Light

Tableside light and the blue light from smart devices especially can send cues to your brain to focus. Avoid exposure with blue light before bed. If possible, set a night-time light filter for your smart devices.

Tip 3: Avoid Food Stimulants and Large Meals Before Bed

Eating large quantities of food before bed often forces our body to store the food as fat, rather than energy. Caffeine runs the risk of keeping the brain alert after bed time.

Tip 4: Reserve Your Bed For Sleep

Bed

If your bed is reserved for sleep, your body and mind will associate the presence of your bed with the desire to fall asleep. Keep all other activities out of bed.
