My First Page

This project was meant to be a standard base and introduction for coding. We were taught how to create a meaningful and consistent file management system and the importance of paying attention to fine details and avoid coding errors. I practiced good coding habits such as formatting and adding comments in both HTML and CSS. We also went over how to link and display an image in HTML and how to save, review, and upload this site properly!

Squint Studio Build-Along

This website took us six weeks to complete. Throughout that time we learned new techniques, processes, and background about HTML, CSS and Web design/development topics.

This article goes over the importance of being able to have access to your original landing page, checking your analytics, keeping up with SEO and graphic style trends. It also emphasizes that you should seek user input in order to further improve your page.

This article really helped point out what navigation is and why its so important. points out how you should be paying attention to hieratchy of information, simplicity and versatility. It demonstrates how to guide users throughout a website effectively with examples of the three different types of navigation: hamburger menus, dropdown menus, and footers.
