Welcome to my course project landing page!
The following projects have been created as a way to explore front-end Web design and development.
Main course projects
-
My First Page
The first project we completed is called My First Page. This project was our introduction to coding with html. Using provided starter code that we copied and filling in our own information, we built a pre-made website. This first project was important in teaching us the basic structure of the html coding language and how to use Adobe Dreamweaver. Additionally, the strategies that were used in this first project were explained in detail in our next project.

Squint Studio Build-Along
Over the course of 6 weeks, the Squint Studio Build-Along taught us the process that goes into making a website. We learned how to utilize HTML to code information as well as CSS to decorate our website. Our HTML taught us the different elements or tags that HTML uses and how to add text, links, and images. CSS was used to add color, organize layout, and unify the spacing between elements.
In addition to our lessons on how to create a website, we also learned other responsibilites that web designers have. Some of these include accessibility, file management, image optomization, and more.

Final Website: Himawari Travels
Our Final Site project combined all of our new knowledge from this semester to create our own site using dreamweavers. Some of the skills that we learned included image optomization, background images, CSS and HTML code, and more. We also went through the full process of creating a website, such as brainstorming, research, and wireframes. I decided to create a made up travel agency to Japan called Himawari Travels, where I completed research and created my own brand / agency.
